My First Blog

Hello people, my name’s Matthew, but you guys will know me as Stealth, Stealthfang, or Stealthfang270. So, as you can probably guess, this is my first blog. Before I start actually blogging, let me say some things about myself: I already mentioned my name and screen name, so let’s skip that, I’m 13 years old, I am working towards becoming a game designer, having a friend that knows a game designer, and working on a game, so far, I’m on the right path. I am part of an unofficial company, name of which I won’t state, because I’m still working on copyrighting it. I am a major gamer, which definitely helps with becoming a game designer, I generally like RPG, Action, Skill, Strategy, FPS, actually, now that I think of it, I like all types of different games, regardless of genre.

Enough about me, as I said, I’m making a game, I’ll tell you about that. It’s called Shelter, uncertain about the reason for that yet, and it’s not that survival game on steam. Shelter is a single player RPG that will most likely be free to download, depending on how popular it gets. The gameplay style will be a lot like FFXV (Final Fantasy 15) with the same type of open world gameplay. You are given the role of a hero who had his home destroyed by the earth’s monsters, and you are now living on the streets of a hidden village, in which your money is worthless. The amount of classes to start will be pretty low, something like warrior, archer, mage. Also weapons have elements, certain areas those elements will be stronger, or enemies the are weak to them, the elements consist of (list the elements here once you remember them). We might add very realistic deaths, and I don’t mean blood and gore kinda thing, I mean once the party members -which will be very attachable to, and have their own personalities- die, they don’t come back, making it hard, and emotional, but this is just an idea, and might not be in the outcome of the game.

We have nothing to show for the game yet, except some movement, a sword, bow, magic, and a health bar that OFFICIALLY GOES DOWN!!!!! ...Not that exciting yet. About the story, we have only got the backstory:
Magic has flowed through the earth since the dawn of time, and since people nourished the earth, the earth decided to give back, with magic. Magic would flow to a certain location, then solidify, making a powerful ore called nodes. Nodes would release magic upon breaking it apart, the magic could then be transferred into objects or creatures, including humans. People enjoyed magic, they would use it for craft, battle, even doing work with it, and every time the magic was used, it would flow back into the earth to be made into a node again. People and the earth lived peacefully like that for many centuries, but as years passed, humans and other races came up with more and more things you could do with magic. One day, a clever goblin though what if used magic could flow back into the object that used it? And just like that, enchantments were made. Once you used an enchantment, the magic would flow back into the object, and it could be used again. Everyone liked this new magic item, and soon enough, everyone had one. The earth quickly realised it’s magic was being drained, so from deep in it’s core it took it’s darkest magic, and released it, it’s host a tree. This tree was now the home to many monsters, which completely destroyed what was on the earth, castles, villages, they even destroyed plant life, the only places remaining were a few hidden villages. The remaining heroes, including you, grouped together, and worked their way to defeat the army of monsters that destroyed your home. Can’t say much more about the game right now, since it’s still in early development, and won’t come out for at least a year. If you have any suggestions, let me know in the comments!

As I said earlier, I am a big gamer, and I think a smart idea for a gamer like me who’s starting to blog, review games. I’m not going to do that right now but in the comments you can ask me to do certain games. Just note: I probably won’t review the game, it all depends on if I have it, if I’m going to get it, or if I have the time to look over it. If I can, I will, but if I can’t, I won’t, simple as that. If there are no requests, I’ll most likely just choose a game. Also, I WILL NOT review minecraft! I honestly can’t believe the unoriginality of that. I’m sorry for all you big minecraft fans out there, but minecraft is 1: old, and 2: overused. I’ll try to do more recent games like FFXV. Although, that doesn’t mean the game you request has to be new, I like old games too, but honestly, try to be creative when picking a game.
